This Week in Religion (Sept. 12th-16th)

What an opportunity we have had to dwell into God's Word.  The students have asked questions and have had to really get involved in scripture.  Even the 1st and 2nd graders are starting to learn how to find passages in the Bible.

Here is what we worked on this week....

1st and 2nd Grade...

This week we took a look at Noah's ark and the flood.  On Tuesday, we went outside and started to measure out the size of the ark...using what scripture said.  We also spent time on Wednesday on how to look up passages in the Bible...this will be an ongoing process as it is a new concept to many of them.

Next Week's Memory Work...due Wednesday, Sept. 21st.

Arise; shine, for your light has come.  (Isaiah 60:1)

3rd and 4th grade...

This week we talked about Adam and Eve and the fall into sin.  As we discussed this, we talked about how, even in Genesis, there was a foreshadow of our Savior, Jesus Christ.  Lots of questions...which I totally love.

Next Week's Memory Work...due Wednesday, Sept. 21st.

Arise, shine, for your light has come.  (Isaiah 60:1)

5th grade...

In 5th grade religions, we have been spending time talking about who God is and the importance of studying scripture.  We have jumped around in the Bible to see God's attributes and How God gives His word to us.

Next Week's Memory Work...due Wednesday, Sept. 21st.

Old Testament Books of the Bible....   Ezra - Daniel

6th-8th grade...

We have continued in Genesis, looking at the fall of man and also Cain and Abel.  We have spent time looking at, even though the story is in Genesis, God is speaking to us also and we need to apply these things in our own lives.

Next Week's Memory Work...due Wednesday, Sept. 21st.

Old Testament Books of the Bible....   Ezra - Daniel
