God is so good.  What a great week in religion for all classes.

We had the opportunity to talk through the Bible stories of the Flood and also The Tower of Babel.  We dwelled in scripture to see that God did make a covenant to all of us after the flood.  We also talked about being humble and looked at 1 Peter 5:1-7.

To the elders among you, I appeal as a fellow elder and a witness of Christ’s sufferings who also will share in the glory to be revealed: 2 Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve; 3 not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. 4 And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away.
5 In the same way, you who are younger, submit yourselves to your elders. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because,
   “God opposes the proud
but shows favor to the humble.”[a]
6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. 7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

This Week in Religion (Sept. 12th-16th)

What an opportunity we have had to dwell into God's Word.  The students have asked questions and have had to really get involved in scripture.  Even the 1st and 2nd graders are starting to learn how to find passages in the Bible.

Here is what we worked on this week....

1st and 2nd Grade...

This week we took a look at Noah's ark and the flood.  On Tuesday, we went outside and started to measure out the size of the ark...using what scripture said.  We also spent time on Wednesday on how to look up passages in the Bible...this will be an ongoing process as it is a new concept to many of them.
